Our planet is our home.
We all need to look after it.
Our 10 point plan for making Wyld Thyngz more sustainable
- We encourage children to use water sparingly and only when needed.
- We use fallen timber from the wood to cook on and keep the children warm in winter.
- Our cleaning products are environmentally friendly and not tested on animals.
- Our tea and coffee is Fairtrade.
- We encourage sustainability by using oat and soya milks instead of cow.
- To reduce our carbon footprint, our cooking is predominantly plant-based.
- Our travel policy encourages car sharing, using public transport and bicycles.
- We follow the waste hierarchy of refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, recover.
- We have a programme of planting new trees and enhancing the biodiversity of the woodland flora.
- We are experimenting with growing food crops in straw bales.
